Click Techs: Managed IT and Cybersecurity in Wichita, Kansas

Excellence in Every Byte. We Know IT.

Click Techs, Inc. is a Wichita, Kansas technology company founded in 2005 as Computer Consultants and rebranded as Click Techs in 2025. For 21 years we have kept Wichita businesses running, and today we do it through managed IT, cybersecurity, ransomware recovery, network infrastructure, web technologies and Google marketing, delivered by six specialty divisions. Every division is led and staffed from within the United States.

Twenty one years in Wichita

We opened in 2005 as Computer Consultants, a Wichita computer shop that fixed what was broken and got people back to work. The city was smaller then and so were the problems. A failed hard drive was a bad afternoon. A virus was an inconvenience. Most of what a business needed from a technology partner fit inside one job description.

That is not the world our clients operate in now. A Wichita machine shop today runs ITAR controlled files on a network that has to hold up against an organized criminal group. A medical practice carries HIPAA notification duties the moment a record is touched. A law firm loses client confidence the first time an email lands in a spam folder. The work got specialized, and it got specialized faster than most technology companies adapted.

So we adapted. Over 21 years we grew from a repair counter into a full managed IT practice, acquired two competitors, and then did something less common: instead of adding service lines to a single website and calling it a suite, we built a separate division for each discipline, with its own team, its own name and its own accountability. In 2025 we brought them all under one parent brand, Click Techs.

Steve Fortine

President and CEO, Click Techs, Inc.

Steve Fortine has led this company since founding it as Computer Consultants in Wichita in 2005. Over 21 years he has grown it from a local computer repair shop into a six division technology practice covering managed IT, ransomware incident response, cybersecurity, email authentication and digital marketing, acquiring two competitors along the way. He rebranded the company as Click Techs in 2025. Fortine lives and works in Wichita, and he leads and staffs every division of the company from within the United States.

What Click Techs does

Six practice areas, one Wichita phone number. If your business runs on it, we support it, secure it, build it or sell it.

We also sell the hardware we support. Desktop computers, servers, laptops, networking equipment and peripherals are available through the Click Techs Store, specified by the same engineers who will be maintaining them.

Six divisions, one company, one phone number

Each division below exists because our clients kept asking for something the local market could not reliably deliver. Email authentication is not a task you hand to a generalist. Neither is a ransomware rebuild, and neither is getting an AI model to know your company exists. We built a team for each rather than pretend a single service page covers it.

Ransom Security

Ransomware protection first, incident response and recovery when it is already happening. Immutable backup architecture, hardened identity, monitored perimeter firewalls, clean restoration and Kansas breach notification support under K.S.A. 50-7a02.

What 21 years looks like on the worst day of a client's year

A Wichita area manufacturer was hit with a full estate LockBit ransomware attack. This was not a few laptops. It was an enterprise scale virtualized environment covering servers, the full network and wireless layer, office systems and the equipment on the production floor. The attack reached all of it, including the local backups and Active Directory. The threat actor demanded 26 BTC. There were no complete, usable backups to restore from and only minimal documentation of the environment to rebuild from. The client was insured, but not prepared for an attack of this scale.

The client did not pay. We had the business operating inside Microsoft Azure and Microsoft 365 within two days, back to work while the original estate was still sitting encrypted. ERP and MRP, the systems that actually run a manufacturer, came back over roughly the two weeks that followed. Only then did we start rebuilding the underlying infrastructure.

That rebuild continued for months after the business was already running, and it did not put back what had been attacked. It replaced it. The manufacturer runs redundant Hyper-V virtualization with live replication, a rebuilt firewall layer across every network perimeter, immutable WORM backups held both on site and off site under cloud object lock, quarterly clean restore testing, fully documented infrastructure and a hardened identity layer. None of that existed before the attack. The encrypted local backups are exactly the failure that object lock and WORM storage are built to prevent, and now they cannot happen to this client again.

So there are three things we point to on this one, in order. No ransom was paid. The business was making product again in two days. And the environment it runs on today is stronger than the one the attacker got into.

Here is the part we would rather you take away from it. Recovery is what a business buys after prevention has already failed. The architecture we built for that manufacturer after the attack is the architecture we now deploy for clients before anything happens, because it is not whether you get targeted, it is when.

Figures describe one specific engagement. Recovery timelines depend on the environment, the scope of encryption and the evidence available, and Click Techs does not guarantee a recovery window.

Who we work with

Our client base concentrates in aerospace and precision manufacturing, healthcare, education and Wichita law firms. Those four sectors have something in common: each carries a regulatory obligation that makes downtime and data loss expensive well beyond the technical repair. An ITAR requirement on a shop floor and a HIPAA notification duty inside a medical practice are not IT problems, they are business exposures that arrive through the IT department. We work in that space, in this city, and we have been doing it long enough to have seen how these situations end.

We are also a company you can drive to. Our office is at 807 N Waco Ave, Suite 23, in Wichita. When a client has an incident, someone from this building goes to them. Every division of Click Techs is led and staffed from within the United States, and we operate no overseas call center. Separately, client production environments are monitored around the clock on a follow the sun rotation, because attacks do not keep Wichita business hours.
